Desert Botanical Garden 


This will change how you see the desert. Come see what a desert garden looks like, full of beautiful wildflowers. There are tons of verities of cacti, flowers, trees and much more over the 55 acres. Visit the unique and colorful garden and take pictures and enjoy the scenery. 

Across the 55 acres of cacti, flowers and trees enjoy one of the many different trails and hikes to find and discover more. Take the Plants & People of the Sonoran Desert loop trail to learn how the native inhabitants used the plants for food, medicine, shelter and more.

Travel on the Harriet K. Maxwell desert wildflower loop trail to see thousands of blooming cacti and flowers in an array of color. Journey on the Center for the living trail and get lost in the heart of the garden in flowers, cacti and much more.

Aside from all the cacti visit the Wild Rising exhibit to see tons of colorful art pieces by Cracking Art. Here there are over 1,000 animal sculptures all made from recycled plastics and spray painted in a verity of bright and fun colors. the plastic animals range from snails, wolves and rabbits to meerkats and more. The vibrant and unique art sculptures are created by a group of artists that specialize in plastic as an art medium. Visitors can find meaning in the unique art and enjoy the fun pieces and artwork. When visiting the Desert Botanical Garden be sure to visit the Wild Rising art exhibit.

The park is also dedicated to providing learning opportunity's and inspiring others. They have multiple programs to help give back and learn more about the plants and nature. They have opportunists for kids and adults to help. 

They also have research and conservation teams, who love to help work to save desert plants and habitats. They have over 23 scientist to observe and help with the care of these plants. 

The park is home to thousands of different varieties of cacti, desert trees, and wildflowers. Here they have a collection of over 400 endangered and rare plants. Come enjoy the Desert Botanical Garden for a unique and memorable experience for all.
